• Provide strong risk governance, robust and balanced 2nd line challenge process for non-retail credit portfolios and to ensure business development within acceptable credit appetite and portfolio metrics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the first line by giving guidance on structuring credit facilities and regulatory requirements on credit policies.
Provide recommendations for improving end-to-end credit process including guidance to business units through sharing sessions and transaction structuring alternatives to balance client and risk management requirements.
Provide independent credit evaluation and make sound recommendations to improve asset quality while supporting business growth of the Bank.
Manage the credit risk of the mid cap portfolio.
Exercise credit approval within own credit discretion.
Participate in various working groups / committees at Bank / industry / regulatory levels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance / Business Administration / Economics or related discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 15 years of relevant credit evaluation & approval experience - well versed in credit analysis and financial modelling.
Extensive experience in the mid-corporate/commercial banking credit space, with a strong emphasis on term lending, working capital financing and derivative products.
Knowledge of credit underwriting best practices and compliance/regulatory issues.
Some experience of leading a team will be an added advantage.
