Job Description

As a Software Engineer within Goldman Sachs (GS) Digital Assets Engineering, partnering with the firm's Digital Assets business, you will use innovative Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to build and support market-leading digital platform and cryptocurrency solutions, offering new investment products and transforming traditional capital market processes.

You will independently design and develop software solutions, collaborating with business, technology, and control stakeholders within Global Banking & Markets and Engineering. The products and processes you develop will span across FICC, Equities, and Asset Management businesses.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

1. Design, develop, and support tokenized assets software solutions using Java, smart contracts, and Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) programming languages to model Real World Assets (RWA) and their workflows such as issuance, trading, settlement, financing, custody, and post-trade processes.
2. Design, develop, and support Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to implement and operate distributed blockchain networks and tokenization platforms.
3. Design, develop, and support on/off-chain integration systems that provide data modeling, message transformation, and event processing between blockchain systems and Goldman Sachs' internal systems.
4. Develop expertise in DevOps, SRE, and AWS cloud implementation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Computer Science or Engineering degree with 3+ years of software development experience in programming languages such as Java, Haskell, Scala, and/or Python.
2. At least 2+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in DevOps, SRE, and AWS cloud implementation.
3. Ideally, experience with blockchain and smart contract programming such as DAML, Solidity, or Rust.
4. Excellent communication, analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with tokenizing RWAs, including lifecycle processing across issuance, distribution, trading, settlement, custody, and financing.
