Job description

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be...

Senior Accountant role

  • Check parked and manual invoices and ensure they are valid and authorized before journalised by month end. Prepare monthly AP payments listing to get payment.
  • Handle AP invoice
  • Maintain proper books of account and records
  • Determine and monitor the execution of financial control measures to ensure that the company is not exposed to financial risk
  • Update and track on data to manage Unrecovery hours of service engineer and workshop (NPV)
  • Engage with both internal and external auditors to ensure the availability of information for audit review
  • Comply with relevant statutory legislation (income tax, company act etc.) that applies to the company
  • Prepare and reconcile ledgers to ensure that complete and accurate management accounts are compiled, according to standard accounting practices, set standards and within agreed time framework.
  • Compile and interpret monthly financial reports submitted with variances to ensure that proactive corrective measures are taken where necessary.
  • Ensure that all fixed and non-current assets are effectively managed and controlled.
  • Ensure management of month end and year end processes.
  • Ensure compliance to Group environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Adhoc transactional investigations: review and investigate transactions to clean & correct errors.

Month End and Reporting & Analysis

  • Perform general ledger month-end closing and reconciliation of journal entries.
  • Identify and reconcile any financial discrepancies.
  • Action on system tasks before month end, including closing sales orders, booking reconciliation, locking forecast, release WIP etc.
  • Preparation of POC calculations at month end close; review to understand key risk and opportunities for month end.
  • Preparation US GAAP adjustment and US GAAP report for Group month end closing.
  • Preparation of Month end report.
  • Responsible for monthly actuals and forecasting loading, and quarterly tax pack, and fluctuation analysis.
  • Prepare Form 5 for Quarterly GST submission, monitor and safekeeping the GST documents, liaise with tax auditor and support for GST audit during renewal process of Major Exporter Scheme (MES).

FP&A roles

  • Preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly forecast including preparation of working and uploading to Onestream system.
  • Assist to coordinate with Sales and Operation team to collect forecast data.
  • Timely track on order, Sales and Weekly/Monthly/as and when update to Sales team and Management on Actual result.
  • Involved in implementation of internal controls and emphasize on SOX compliance.

Financial Control and Compliance

  • Assist with financial control tasks as requested from Finance Manager and the team.
  • Comply with relevant statutory legislation that applies to the company.

Legal, Health and Safety

  • Take all reasonable care for own personal health and safety, as well as for that of everyone who may be affected by your actions in your workplace.
  • Liaise and co-operate with company management with regards to the current health and safety legislation and obligations within the location and area where you performing your duties.

Your Education Should Be...

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge and experiences with audit and accounting.
  • Familiarity in US GAAP and SOX is advantageous.
  • In progress of CPA or Min Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA qualification/ Singapore CA is advantageous.

Your Professional Experience Should Be...

  • 7+ years experience in accounting and finance as same roles.
  • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  • Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems and standards.
  • Good Communication skills including oral & written and good command of English language.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes and controls of the company and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Strong Business Partnering skills and exceptional communication and organisational skills at all levels.
  • Time management skills and ability to handle high levels of pressure.
  • Technically strong, dynamic and insightful.
