Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications which needs to be deployed at a client end and ensure it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Responsibilities

1. Understand and Design:
   • Instrumental in understanding the requirements and design of the product/software.
   • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
   • Investigate problem areas followed by the software development life cycle.
   • Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
   • Identify ideas to improve system performance and availability.
   • Analyze client requirements and convert them to feasible designs.
   • Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts for detailed investigations.
   • Consult with project managers for software capabilities.
2. Coding and Development:
   • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed software.
   • Develop and automate processes for software validation by designing test cases/scenarios.
   • Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
   • Analyze information to recommend and plan installations or modifications.
   • Ensure code is error-free and meets quality standards.
   • Prepare reports on programming project specifications and activities.
   • Ensure all codes are documented as per project norms.
   • Compile comprehensive documentation as requested.
   • Coordinate with the team on daily project status and document it.
   • Provide feedback on usability and serviceability.
3. Status Reporting and Customer Focus:
   • Capture all client requirements for better quality work.
   • Take feedback regularly to ensure timely delivery.
   • Participate in ongoing education and training to remain current on best practices.
   • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces.
   • Document solutions through flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and clear code comments.
   • Ensure good quality of interaction with customers.
   • Respond to customer requests timely and without complaints.
