What you will be working on:
You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the Operating and Development Budget for the MOT-Family, ensuring fiscal responsibility, compliance with financial regulations and budget frameworks, and effective resource allocation to support WOG objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with MOT HQ Divisions and Statutory Boards to evaluate budget proposals and develop annual and multi-year budgets for MOT-Family to ensure optimal resource provision and allocation.
- Processing fund requests and payments, ensuring prompt, accurate payments that are properly accounted for.
- Monitoring budget performance and performing budget re-allocations to optimize utilization.
- Preparing budget utilization reports, including variance analysis and late payment reports, for senior management.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, budget frameworks, and accounting policies.
- Leveraging technology and reviewing internal processes and controls to enhance efficiency.
- Providing support for ad hoc finance tasks or projects.
What we are looking for:
• An accountancy or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.

About the Ministry of Transport:
The Mission of the Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore's land, sea, and air transport sectors to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of:
- Civil Aviation and Air Transport
- Maritime and Ports
- Land Transport
Besides providing efficient and cost-effective transportation, MOT aims to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime hub for the region. The ministry sets strategic and policy directions, while operations and regulation are carried out by statutory boards under its charge:
- Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)
- Land Transport Authority (LTA)
- Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
- Public Transport Council (PTC)
The ministry also oversees the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
