The Assistant Manager / Manager, Global Partnerships role will play an important role in supporting Singapore-based startups in their internationalisation efforts while facilitating the entry of foreign startups into Singapore. Requires expertise in strategic partnerships, relationship-building, and executing business missions, programmes, and events. The Management may adjust the job scope periodically to align with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Assistant Director, Stage One & Global Partnerships and work closely with other team members in meeting the organisation's KPIs.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with foreign governments, ecosystem enablers, and corporates to facilitate smoother market entry for startups.
- Identify overseas markets with growth opportunities for Singapore-based startups and collaborate with in-market partners. This involves collaborating with government agencies like startup development bodies, trade investment promotion agencies, and embassies to design programs that facilitate market entry by connecting them with key contacts.
- Lead and coordinate business missions for startups to attend key global tech conferences and networking events.
- Organise key events to provide market insights, helping Singapore startups navigate and capitalise on opportunities in key overseas markets.
- Provide insights on Singapore’s startup ecosystem, regulatory landscape, and business environment to support foreign startups expanding into Singapore.
- Connect and direct foreign startups to relevant support structures, including service providers, government agencies, investors, and ecosystem partners.
- Design and collaborate with local partners to run structured market immersion programmes tailored for foreign startups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Singapore-based startups and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse emerging trends, challenges, and developmental needs of startups at various growth stages.
- Engage Singapore-based ecosystem partners and startups regularly to have better understanding of the emerging trends and developmental needs of startups at different stages of growth.
- Assist to front or participate in any Special Projects, or undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the Management.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years’ work experience in a similar capacity. Fresh graduates with the relevant skills sets may also apply.
- You are obsessed with details and display unquestionable work ethics.
- A plus to have some domain knowledge of the startup scene, but more importantly you have a genuine passion for entrepreneurship and emerging technologies.
