A leading company is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with organizational workflows. Responsibilities:
Configuration and Customization: Expertly configure and customize the ServiceNow platform, including modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and HRSD, to align with specific organizational requirements and workflows.
Forms, Fields, Workflows, and Business Rules: Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow forms, fields, workflows, and business rules to automate processes and ensure data accuracy.
UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Automated Workflows: Implement and manage UI policies, client scripts, and automated workflows using ServiceNow's client-side and server-side scripting capabilities to enhance user interaction and system efficiency.
Third-Party Integrations: Design, develop, and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and various third-party systems, such as Active Directory, email services, and external APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and process automation.
Custom Application Development: Build and deploy custom applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform utilizing JavaScript, Glide APIs, and other ServiceNow development tools to address unique business needs.
Service Catalogs and Self-Service Portals: Develop and maintain intuitive and user-friendly Service Catalogs and Self-Service Portals, empowering employees to access information and request services efficiently.
System Upgrades, Patches, and Maintenance: Perform regular system upgrades, apply patches, and conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the ServiceNow platform remains stable, secure, and up-to-date.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Proactively monitor ServiceNow system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness.
Data Integrity, System Performance, and Security: Ensure the integrity, performance, and security of the ServiceNow platform through best practices in configuration, development, and access controls.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow-related incidents and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing disruption to business operations.
Incident and Problem Resolution: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve incidents and problems related to the ServiceNow platform, implementing root cause analysis and preventative measures.
Collaboration with IT Teams: Collaborate effectively with other IT teams, including network, security, and infrastructure, to gather requirements, integrate ServiceNow solutions, and ensure seamless interoperability.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all ServiceNow configurations, customizations, integrations, and processes.
Reporting and Dashboards: Generate insightful reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into system performance, usage metrics, and key performance indicators.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful implementation and adoption of ServiceNow solutions that meet business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8 + years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Engineer.
Proven experience in configuring and customizing various ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD).
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Workflow Editor.
Experience designing and implementing integrations with third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
Demonstrated ability to build custom applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform.
Experience developing and maintaining Service Catalogs and Self-Service Portals.
Solid understanding of ServiceNow security best practices and data integrity principles.
Experience with ServiceNow system upgrades and patching processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ServiceNow certifications, e.g., Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA) will be added advantage.
