About the job:

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Banking, you will gain direct consulting experience in the banking industry, expand your knowledge across various companies, and apply project management best practices in a dynamic and challenging environment. Since all projects are conducted at the clients' premises, you will play a key role in building trusted relationships through high-quality deliverables and industry expertise. We provide comprehensive training and mentoring to help you become a skilled consultant.

The investment analytics specialist will advise clients on creating robust investment frameworks, including portfolio structuring, investment risk & suitability, credit, investment duration, and cash flow features.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, data collection, and analysis on investment portfolios within client banks to understand their investment and advisory requirements.
• Present findings and recommendations through business proposals and presentations.
• Review processes, policies, guidelines, and documentation related to portfolio and product advisory to identify improvement opportunities.
• Document projects into systems and processes for management review.
• Engage with clients through interviews, workshops, project updates, and networking to understand their needs and deliver solutions.
• Support thought leadership by researching industry best practices and trends.

Additional responsibilities for experienced candidates:

• Assist in designing and launching new advisory-related products and services.
• Promote sharing of advisory knowledge and expertise within Synpulse.
• Lead smaller project teams.

About you:

• Bachelor's degree holder.
• 3-6 years of experience in banking or consulting.
• Understanding of investment products and advisory services in Private and Wealth Banking sectors.
• Familiarity with risk analytics and portfolio management.
• Strong technology affinity and system implementation experience preferred.
• Experience in financial product management, structuring, portfolio construction, trading, or reporting is advantageous.
• Highly analytical with structured problem-solving skills; ability to grasp complex situations quickly.
• CFA, CAIA, FRM designation or exams are a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership qualities.
• Fluent in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin fluency is an advantage.
