Job Function: Secure Freight Management

Job Summary:
The Deputy Manager - Project Freight and Pricing (Secure Freight Management) is responsible for preparing customer proposals and/or tender documents and fulfilling orders, from identifying customer needs to developing proposals. He/She is also responsible for managing customers and coordinating with colleagues during the entire process. Additionally, he/she manages freight business resources, including manpower, internal assets, and external vendors. Resourceful and analytical, he/she is required to manage resources to obtain buy-in from internal and external stakeholders. He/She is expected to lead a team, make business decisions independently, and be accountable for the profit and loss of the team.

Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks (External):

1. Develop freight shipment solutions for improvements and/or closing gaps.
2. Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, and port authorities to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers.
3. Monitor lapses in delivery of logistics services to customers.
4. Implement intervention strategies to mitigate gaps in delivery of logistics services.
5. Communicate variations in rating principles and operator variations to employees.
6. Manage carrier ranking or customer priority system to ensure strategic business is protected during periods of capacity shortage.
7. Manage teams in the workplace.
8. Develop measures to improve vendor management capability in the organization.

Job Requirements:

Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience:
• 5-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Singaporean only.
