Job description

M&E MANAGER (Contracts Manager / Project Manager)

Responsibilities:

  • Effective implementation and successful completion of projects undertaken by the Company within schedule, cost and quality

  • Advise on procurement strategy, tender evaluation and contractor selection

  • Discuss, draft, review, negotiate and subsequently shortlist and award sub-contracts

  • Monitor contracts and facilitate extension, renewal or close-out as required

  • Lead and manage the M&E team to ensure timely delivery of all M&E systems.

  • Liaise with sub-contractors, clients, suppliers for project cost issues

  • Manage communications, integration and flow of design/project information

  • Ensure all M&E-related documentation, such as test reports, method statements, and compliance certificates, are accurate and up to date.

  • Ensure that all M&E installations adhere to safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.

  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues related to the M&E scope and implement strategies to address them proactively.

  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of all M&E systems, ensuring they operate as designed and are fully functional.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognized by the PE Board

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar capacity in building construction industry

  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical trades

  • Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation pertaining to M&E services and building construction

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues

  • Good leadership and communication skills, excellents organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
