A leading construction company is seeking an M&E Manager to oversee project implementation and management. The role involves leading a team, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing contractor relations. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's in Engineering and significant experience in the building construction sector.
M&E MANAGER (Contracts Manager / Project Manager)
Responsibilities:
Effective implementation and successful completion of projects undertaken by the Company within schedule, cost and quality
Advise on procurement strategy, tender evaluation and contractor selection
Discuss, draft, review, negotiate and subsequently shortlist and award sub-contracts
Monitor contracts and facilitate extension, renewal or close-out as required
Lead and manage the M&E team to ensure timely delivery of all M&E systems.
Liaise with sub-contractors, clients, suppliers for project cost issues
Manage communications, integration and flow of design/project information
Ensure all M&E-related documentation, such as test reports, method statements, and compliance certificates, are accurate and up to date.
Ensure that all M&E installations adhere to safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.
Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues related to the M&E scope and implement strategies to address them proactively.
Oversee the testing and commissioning of all M&E systems, ensuring they operate as designed and are fully functional.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering recognized by the PE Board
Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar capacity in building construction industry
Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical trades
Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation pertaining to M&E services and building construction
Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues
Good leadership and communication skills, excellents organisational and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
