Job Role: Sales Manager (Battery Systems, Commercial EV Segment)

Drive opportunities in Electric Vehicles & other Commercial pursuits.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize market research and competitive analysis to develop sales strategies in segments such as Commercial Electric Vehicles (CEV), Heavy Duty Applications, Marine, Harbour Operations, Energy Infrastructure, Microgrids, and others.
  2. Stay informed about emerging segments, international regulations, and industry trends, especially in the Asia Pacific region.
  3. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in partnership with international collaborators.
  4. Contribute to product strategy development aligned with market demands and trends.
  5. Collaborate with System Engineers and Project Management teams on strategic initiatives.
  6. Support process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
  7. Work closely with Business Development and Marketing teams to foster growth.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with strong Commercial Sales skills.
  2. Between 5-15 years of experience in strategy, technical sales, or consulting.
  3. Proven sales-driven mindset and ability to convert sales.
  4. Preference for candidates experienced in project sales, especially in segments like CEV, energy storage, power conversion, or battery management systems.
  5. Experience working with diverse cultures.
  6. Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Commercial-Techno Expertise:

  1. Some familiarity with electric/electronic products; expertise in batteries, electrochemistry, and modular system integration is preferred.
  2. Focus on Commercial Electric Vehicles (CEV), specialty applications, marine projects in APAC, and project pursuit fundamentals.
  3. Experience in developing sales for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) using lithium-ion batteries.
  4. Proposal process expertise and knowledge of integrating battery cells, modular systems, and monitoring systems.
  5. Understanding contractual obligations related to commissioning and maintenance of battery storage systems in project applications.
