An established industry player is seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to enhance safety protocols across various sites. This role involves assisting management in implementing safety management systems, conducting inspections, and providing HSE training to staff. Assist the Plant and Machinery Manager / Factory Manager / Operations Manager / Shipping Manager and HSE Manager etc. in the implementation of company’s safety management systems at our yards / sites.
Provide HSE subject matter advice to organization’s functions on all HSE matters.
Liaise closely with Site Operations Staff, Project / Operations Manager, Customers, Consultants and relevant government officials etc on all HSE issues when required.
Attend HSE meetings, audits, inspections and close up issues pertaining to safety matters etc.
Conduct incidents / accidents investigation and root cause identification and prevention.
Carry out periodic HSE Inspections / Audits at operating and project / customers’ sites to ensure compliance to prevailing MOM regulations.
Perform monthly compilation of HSE Performance indicators and incidents / accidents statistics.
Conduct initial / refresher and other HSE related training to new / existing employees / contractors.
Conduct daily / periodic toolbox briefings on topics such as hazards identification and safe work practices.
Assess the Permit Application submitted by the supervisors or engineers.
Promoting safety awareness for vehicle drivers.
Assist in all operations to drive culture safe programme, behavioural based safety and improvements in hazards and near-miss reporting including promoting safety awareness and best site safety practices.
Review, upgrade and maintain records, safety management system, risk assessments, safe work procedures and all other related HSE documents.
Assist to raise Purchase Request for safety equipment if necessary.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned / required.
Requirements
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Strong interpersonal skills / positive attitude
Responsible and assertive
Certificate/Advance Certificate in WSH (WSH Level B)
Relevant trade certificate (e.g., risk assessment)
