Finance Director, Global

THE COMPANY

We are partnering exclusively with APL LOGISTICS LIMITED, a Global Multinational Corporation in the Logistics industry with strong presence in more than 60 countries worldwide and headquartered in Singapore and USA. They are currently looking for a Global Finance Director to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the CFO.



THE ROLE

The Global Finance Director (Corporate Financial Accounting and Reporting) will be responsible for:

1) Accounting and Reporting

• Review financial close of corporate entities, including balance sheet review and reconciliations.
• Assist CFO in preparing reports for senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
• Manage the audit process, engage group statutory auditors, and resolve audit issues.
• Ensure timely preparation of annual financial statements and compliance with statutory requirements.

2) Control and Compliance

• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to comply with IFRS and local regulations.
• Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and adopt new accounting standards when necessary.

3) Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols

• Develop and execute corporate financing strategy and policies.
• Communicate action plans and key activities to support long-term business priorities.

4) Stakeholder Engagement & Management

• Identify and manage stakeholders' needs and concerns at the top management level.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans to communicate business information and decisions.

5) Leadership and Direction

• Set performance objectives aligned with company growth strategy.
• Evaluate team capabilities, guide development activities, and build team capabilities.
• Provide guidance to the team on decision-making in complex scenarios.

REQUIREMENTS

General Experience:

• Minimum 15 years' experience in financial reporting, audit, internal controls, finance systems, and processes.
• Good understanding of IFRS accounting principles with proven work experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with business acumen.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leadership and management abilities.
• Experience in supply chain or logistics industries is an advantage.

Managerial Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive managerial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others, support professional development, and provide feedback on performance and capability.
• Build team and individual capability for current and future roles.
