A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Storage Engineer to manage and support enterprise storage infrastructure. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SAN and NAS systems while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards. The Bank’s critical IT services depend on enterprise storage infrastructure. To ensure performance, security, and reliability, we are hiring a Storage Engineer to support Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) operations.
In this role, you will assist in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting at least two enterprise storage platforms, such as Huawei, Dell (SAN/ECS), Hitachi (HDS), or NetApp. Additionally, you will work with Brocade SAN fabric management. The role requires strict adherence to the bank’s compliance, security, and operational standards.
Perform onboarding, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SAN/NAS systems.
Assist in firmware and software upgrades to maintain system supportability.
Implement storage changes in compliance with standard processes and guidelines.
Provide on-site Data Center support for system maintenance and break-fix tasks.
Support patching, break-fix, and disaster recovery operations.
Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize storage utilization.
Assist in the configuration and management of Brocade SAN switches.
Monitor SAN fabric health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and escalate as needed.
Attend to incident/issue calls and provide prompt updates to management.
Troubleshoot storage-related issues and support system recovery efforts.
Escalate major incidents and work with senior engineers to resolve complex problems.
Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Maintain accurate storage asset inventory and documentation.
Follow security policies and access control guidelines.
Ensure full compliance with bank regulations, risk management frameworks, and audit requirements.
Participate in internal and external audits, addressing compliance gaps where necessary.
Work with application, infrastructure, and operations teams on storage-related tasks.
Learn and apply new technologies to improve efficiency, automation, and supportability.
2–3 years of experience in enterprise storage support
Experience with at least two of the following storage platforms: Huawei, Dell, Hitachi (HDS), or NetApp.
Basic knowledge of SAN/NAS technologies, including:
Volume management
Snapshots
Replication (HyperMetro, SRDF, GAD, Local replication, Snapmirror)
Multipathing software
Storage monitoring tools
Familiarity with Brocade SAN switches (zoning, fabric monitoring, troubleshooting).
Basic understanding of Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
Knowledge of networking and information security principles.
Must be able to work on a shift basis.
