Responsibilities:

1. Assist in laboratory maintenance:

• Weekly topping up of laboratory consumables
• Weekly refilling of pipette tips for autoclave
• Weekly checking of the liquid nitrogen tank
• Assist in cleaning the water bath and incubator water tray when needed
• Prepare reagents or buffers as required
• Clear biohazard waste appropriately

Assist in blood processing:

• Process patient blood samples using Ficoll
• Ensure proper documentation of blood processing information

Assist in tissue logistics:

• Send ice boxes to the operating theatre
• Collect patient tissue samples from the pathology department

Assist in organoid culture:

• Process tissue aseptically for organoid culture
• Perform weekly maintenance of organoid cultures
• Maintain proper documentation of organoid inventory

Assist in genotype profiling of patient tumor samples and organoids:

• Extract DNA/RNA from frozen tissue and organoids
• Submit DNA/RNA samples to external sequencing partners
• Perform digital PCR (dPCR) for genotype profiling
