The APAC Facilities Engineering Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of facilities engineering for both traditional office and technical facilities throughout APAC. This role ensures the effective and compliant operation of facilities, balancing engineering best practices, regulatory standards, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
Facilities Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the performance and governance of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) service partners, ensuring alignment with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Ensure efficient service delivery across office and technical spaces.
- Focus on risk management, governance, regulatory compliance, and maintaining operational continuity.
- Manage Capex & Opex projects, including minor works, infrastructure upgrades, and mission-critical facility enhancements.
- Oversee Hard Services budget management for Capex & Opex.
- Lead regional IFM technical programs, ensuring global alignment with APAC-specific requirements.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Facilities and Real Estate team, leveraging internal and external partners.
- Ensure all spaces are fully operational without disruption to the business.
- Manage the facilities engineering risk framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee statutory compliance frameworks.
- Manage utilities, ensuring proper usage, billing, and efficiency.
- Provide SME support to regional teams on engineering operations, technical specifications, and infrastructure planning.
- Lead energy and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage Enterprise Asset Management and CMMS tools.
- Support technical labs' MEP services to ensure operational uptime and service delivery, including tool installation or modifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering or related field.
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services engineering qualification.
- Other accredited engineering or technical disciplines.
- Experience in Engineering Hard Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with risk management frameworks.
- Knowledge of compliance standards.
- Experience in Facilities Engineering within commercial and technical environments.
- Proficiency in EAM / CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of Building Management System design and operation.
- Project management experience.
- Budget management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and think strategically.
- Vendor and governance management expertise.
