Job Responsibilities:
- Perform established procedures for clinical testing across all assigned laboratory disciplines, analyze specimens, and report results to the sponsor. Proactively seek process improvements and assist in training personnel.
- Conduct assigned clinical laboratory tests accurately and timely.
- Ensure test result validity through quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Monitor reagents, materials, and supplies.
- Maintain instruments and equipment according to manufacturer and SOP requirements, with proper documentation.
- Comply with regulatory guidelines and Labcorp SOPs at all times.
- Demonstrate proficiency with applicable computer systems and software.
- Follow safety policies and universal precautions, maintain a clean and safe work environment, minimize biohazard waste, and clean workstations daily.
- Take on additional responsibilities and opportunities as they arise.
- Provide activity reports to laboratory management upon request.
- Attend scheduled department, mandatory, and training meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical, physical, or biological sciences from an accredited institution, with at least one year of training and/or experience in the testing specialty.
