AVP/VP (Treasury Planning)

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a good understanding of Treasury products such as foreign exchange, interest rates, and derivatives.
2. Support Treasury staff and ensure they are compliant with both general and market-specific regulations in their course of work.
3. Provide support for the team in activities relating to planning, operational, administrative, regulatory, and compliance matters.
4. Participate and support ad-hoc projects as assigned.
5. Work closely with stakeholders from related departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations and resolve any matters related to regulatory and compliance or other operational matters.
6. Exhibit a proactive approach to learning and keep abreast of market trends and compliance requirements.
7. Contribute ideas and strategies to improve treasury operations.

Overview of Division/Department

Based out of Singapore, Mizuho Bank's Asia & Oceania Treasury Department (AOTD) oversees FX & Derivatives Sales, Trading, ALM, and Macroeconomic/Market Research for Asia (outside of Japan and Greater China).

Job Requirements

1. Degree holder with at least three years of experience in the banking industry.
2. Good knowledge of Treasury products, including foreign exchange, interest rates, and derivatives.
3. Strong understanding of market compliance and related regulations.
4. Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and handle ad-hoc projects effectively.
6. Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders at different levels and external parties.
7. Highly motivated with a keen learning attitude and adaptability to new challenges.
