What you'll be doing
You will be part of the Investment team and will be responsible for and not limited to the following:
Conduct active research, due diligence and analysis on investment opportunities across all asset classes straddling across direct and indirect investment in public and private markets.
Monitor, report, and review performance of existing investments in view of the overall portfolio and asset allocation.
Ensure that the portfolio is compliant with the investment strategy, environmental and social safeguard requirements, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Identify and execute co-investment transactions that support the company mission, strategies and policies.
Provide commentary and insights on macroeconomic events and capital markets to generate actionable insights and investment ideas.
Participate in the tactical asset allocation and rebalancing decisions for the overall portfolio.
Participate in and contribute to relevant internal and external sessions, training and conferences and other activities for advocacy, dissemination and knowledge building.
Work closely with the company’s network of bankers, corporate advisors and lawyers on all potential investments.
Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations to identify potential risks and mitigations.
Assist with the development of financial models and valuations.
Assist in the development and execution of risk management policies and practices.
Other ad-hoc activities as required.
What we're looking for
Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, IT, Science, Accounting or Law.
Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a financial analysis or investment banking role.
Good understanding of financial statements and strong interest in various businesses.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis tools, VBA and Python.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good written and oral English communication skills.
Proficiency in business-level Mandarin due to interactions with Chinese counterparts.
Prior experience in a family office, private equity, venture capital environment will be an advantage.
