As a Procurement Executive, you manage the sourcing of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality standards, timely delivery, vendor and client relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for marine construction materials, equipment, and services.
- Compare terms, pricing, and contracts from at least three vendors per project.
- Manage costs within budget while maintaining quality and timelines.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure supplier compliance with quality and regulations.
- Coordinate with project teams to align procurement with timelines and specifications.
- Place orders via ERP based on requests or inventory needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
- Adapt procurement strategies to project changes or evolving needs.
- Monitor inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Verify purchased items meet specifications and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Manage procurement risks, including supply disruptions, price changes, and vendor reliability.
- Develop contingency plans for delays and shortages, especially in remote or offshore areas.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the marine construction or offshore industry.
- Familiarity with marine construction materials, equipment, and industry-specific suppliers is highly advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changes.
