Job description

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Cost Collation and Setting up of Bills of Materials

Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and HR teams to determine the production costs (materials, labour, and overheads) for new products and set up their Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Standard Costing

Set up standard costs for new products in the 365-business system.

Regularly update standard product costs in the 365-business system every quarter for active products with significant price changes (5% or more).

  • Cost Analysis and Price Setting

Analyse product profitability to help set retail sales prices (RSP) for regular products and support sales teams (B2B Supplies Sales and Corporate Sales teams) in determining costs for non-standard product quotations.

May be required to work late, if needed, to establish quick quotations to capture sales.

Provide profitability analysis for promotions and discounts that may be proposed by Marketing Dept to drive the business.

  • Stock Takes (Woodlands & Senoko facilities)

Oversee stock takes at month-end, mid-year, and year-end.

Investigate, reconcile and resolve stock discrepancies.

Report variances to Finance, update the 365 system for stock take adjustments.

  • Compliance and Ad hoc Assignments

Follow established costing procedures and perform any additional costing tasks assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in costing and accounting

  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC365 will have an added advantage.

  • Strong numerical and data analysis capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good spoken and written communication skills, necessary for effective interaction with integral and external stakeholders in a multicultural environment
