Job Description
YOUR IMPACT _________
You are creative, resourceful and know how to build influential relationships both with internal & external stakeholders. Your in-depth knowledge of beauty & consumer trends enables you to spot opportunities within APAC and implement promotional campaigns tailored to the unique travellers profile in each region. Results oriented, you will be leading the trade marketing activations for the Travel Retail business, focusing but not limited to, new launch rollout from product forecast to post-launch results analysis & reporting and management of the travel retail product assortment portfolio to achieve commercial objectives.
YOUR MISSION _________
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & ASSORTMENT STRATEGY
• Develop and execute the product strategy for Travel Retail APAC in alignment with global brand priorities and market needs
• Partner with Area Managers to define forecast ambition by market and ensure accurate forecasting and allocation of new launches, testers, gratis and promotion support
• Oversee full product lifecycle management from launch to phase-out, ensuring timely execution and market relevance
• Define product positioning and pricing strategies in collaboration with Marketing Manager
• Review product assortment productivity regularly, analyze sales performance and identify opportunities to optimize or evolve the portfolio to drive incremental sales
• Lead the development, rollout and lifecycle management of Travel Retail Exclusive Kits (TREX), ensuring continuous supply and competitiveness
• Monitor and analyze competitor activities and make actionable recommendations for assortment strategy and TREX innovation
• Prepare and customize launch decks and toolkits for internal and external presentations
TRADE MARKETING ACTIVATIONS
• Collaborate with HQ to adapt global launch assets for Travel Retail channel and provide timely feedback on market, category and competitor insights
• Lead the strategy, planning and execution of trade marketing campaigns and instore activities in partnership with the Commercial team (Area Managers, Commercial Executives) • Ensure timely and seamless execution of launch activations through crossfunctional coordination
• Collaborate closely with Visual Merchandising on planograms and franchise visibility to ensure brand consistency and commercial impact • Manage the GWP (Gift with Purchase) allocation and deployment across markets, with the support of Marketing Executives, ensuring strong ROI and brand image adherence • Work with duty-free operators to plan and execute animation campaigns and activations at key locations
DATA-ANALYSIS & REPORTING
• Analyze industry reports (e.g. TR Generation, Beaute Research) to identify trends and opportunities for strategic planning
• Consolidate and report on monthly SISO performance, new launches performance and evaluate effectiveness of assortment strategy and marketing activities
• Proactively track competitor promotions and animations with support from Marketing Executives, sharing insights to strengthen future brand plans
OPERATIONAL MARKETING & BUDGET MANAGEMENT
• Support the operational execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of collaterals and tools to counters • Assist in the planning and execution of brand marketing events and presentations and ad-hoc projects (e.g. TFWA, Expert Seminars, Retailer Meetings, etc)
• Monitor and track trade marketing budget usage and ensure timely processing of relative invoices
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
• Lead, coach and mentor Marketing Executives and Trainee, providing clear goal-setting, ongoing feedback and growth opportunities
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment by promoting open communication, shared accountability and cross-functional synergy
Qualifications
WHAT YOU OFFER _________
• Diploma / Degree in Business / Marketing or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on product marketing experience or trade marketing experience, prior experience in Travel Retail environment will be a plus
• Highly detail-oriented and process driven, proactive and solutions-focused
• Skilled in managing multiple timelines, stakeholder inputs and moving parts across functions and markets
• Commercially savvy, strong analytical skills to make data-informed recommendations
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, taking pride in delivering high quality work end-to-end
• Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong advantage for regional communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint (with good design aesthetics for presentations)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) or CRM platforms is a plus
• Genuinely curious about Travel Retail, passionate about beauty and understands the nuances of brand storytelling, assortment planning, and shopper behavior
