Job description

Job Description:

  • Source marine stores and repair spares for clients from bothlocal and overseas vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers.

  • Assist in sourcing materials and equipment required forship chandlering and ship repairs, ensuring efficiency and cost control.

  • Work closely withvessel crew, superintendents, and internal teamsto clarify requirements, monitor supply timelines, and improve the procurement workflow.

  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations that meetcost, quality, and serviceexpectations.

  • Preparepurchase orders, delivery orders, and permit applicationsin accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain and update thevendor database, ensuring accurate records and contact details of suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Build and manage a reference database ofmarine consumables, stores, and sparesfor easy quotation and purchasing.

  • Support operational coordination including communication with ship agents, subcontractors, and internal repair teams when required.

  • Assist in the preparation ofquotations for ship stores, provisions, and spare part supplies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a relevant marine services company, ship management/ship owning company’s purchasing department.

  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies or related field.

  • Possess good negotiation skills and logistics planning skills.

  • Inventory management.

  • Able to work with minimum supervision and under stress.

  • Team player with good communication skills.

  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
