A leading company is seeking a detail-oriented Grants Senior Associate to manage financial and administrative aspects of grant management. This role involves ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines, monitoring expenditures, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and experience in financial roles.
The Grants Senior Associate is responsible for supporting the financial and administrative aspects of grant management. This role ensures compliance with grantor guidelines, accurate financial reporting and bookkeeping, timely invoicing and claims submission, and thorough documentation throughout the grant lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong analytical and interpersonal skills. This position reports directly to the Manager, Grants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in reviewing the grant Letter of Awards (LOA) and preparing any financials required
Set up and maintain accurate records of all grant-related transactions in accordance with organizational and grantor requirements
Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with approved funding amounts and compliance with funding guidelines
Coordinate with program staff to track deliverables, gather documentation, and ensure timely submission of reports
Close involvement with the month-end close process - preparation of journals, reconciliation of accounts
Prepare and submit invoices/claim submission forms to funding agencies
Support routine and ad-hoc grant audit processes by organizing supporting documentation required
Ensure grant agreements are reviewed, understood, and followed by relevant stakeholders
Maintain grant reporting calendar and ensure timely compliance with deadlines
Assist with financial forecasting and grant-related analysis as needed
Perform other duties related to grant finance as assigned
Participate in :
Continuous improvements on financial processes to improve efficiency and internal controls
Lead/ participate in cross-functional projects (if any)
Assist the Manager, Grants with ad-hoc analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, cost controlling, or a related role
Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Strong understanding of grant management (compliance and reporting) is an added advantage
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
