JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service. Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards, and meets or exceeds financial goals. Demonstrates knowledge of applicable food and beverage laws and regulations. Develops and implements business plans for food and beverage.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related field.
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related field.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Developing and Maintaining Budgets
  • Develops and manages financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage.
  • Maintains positive cost management for kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Uses budgets to understand financial objectives.
Leading Food and Beverage Team
  • Manages Food and Beverage departments (excluding catering sales).
  • Supervises and manages employees; understands all roles to perform duties in their absence.
  • Leads, influences, and encourages team; promotes sound financial and business decisions; demonstrates honesty and integrity; leads by example.
  • Oversees culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
  • Fosters a motivating, empowering, teamwork-focused environment with continuous improvement and passion for service.
  • Provides excellent customer service and responds proactively to employee concerns.
  • Creates a learning environment with ongoing improvement focus.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
  • Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.
  • Monitors employee productivity and develops goals and plans to achieve them.
  • Provides leadership, vision, and direction to align departmental goals efficiently and effectively.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Delivers excellent customer service and responds proactively to guest concerns.

  • Manages guest complaints until resolved or escalated.
  • Verifies banquet standards exceed guest expectations.
  • Provides above-and-beyond service for satisfaction and retention.

Managing Human Resources Activities
  • Guides and monitors employee performance; conducts reviews timely.
