This position will lead engineering operations in Singapore, SEA, and ANZ, including managing the facilities engineering team, coordinating contracted service providers, implementing operational initiatives, and supporting project work. Additionally, it provides ad hoc support to the Apple APAC Engineering team for the R&D technical centre in Singapore. The ideal candidate should build strong relationships with suppliers and communicate effectively with Apple teams and customers at all levels.

Description

This role includes but is not limited to:

  1. Ownership of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems on a daily basis.

Plan, set, and manage preventative maintenance programs to optimize costs while ensuring business continuity.

  1. Lead the facilities engineering maintenance team in Singapore and oversee third-party engineering maintenance across SEA and ANZ offices.

Own and drive key facilities engineering programs, implementing operational efficiencies.

  1. Ensure compliance of M&E installations with statutory codes and environmental standards.

Develop project processes covering procurement, management, and budgeting to support project delivery in Singapore and South Asia.

  1. Forecast annual operational and capital expenditures for maintenance projects.

Address complaints and abnormalities promptly.

  1. Collaborate with EHS to develop and execute energy management programs.

Monitor utility consumption and implement optimization strategies.

  1. Partner with IFM teams for maintenance scope delivery.

Manage supplier performance through QBRs, develop communication materials for management, and coordinate site services delivery with Places Management teams.

  1. Track site issues, risks, and results, and contribute to facility management innovations and system tools.

*Emergency Call Responsibilities:

  1. Be on standby 24/7 for emergency alerts and calls.
  2. Maintain call-out logs and incident reports.
  3. Coordinate corrective actions, fault analysis, and incident reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years in facilities engineering or related fields
  • Understanding of real estate and development in a multinational environment
  • Experience managing PPM systems for compliance and operations
  • Experience in clean rooms or data centres is desirable
