A leading healthcare organization in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager to oversee clinical operations. This role involves collaborating with department heads, managing resources, and driving service development to enhance patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
The Assistant Manager / Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of assigned clinical departments and managing resources to ensure an efficient, personalized service in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Lead in key areas of hospital service development.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
1. Partner and support the designated Head of Department (HOD) of Clinical Departments for the development and operational management of clinical services throughout the care continuum. This collaboration will include on identifying and driving opportunities for the growth of both new and existing clinical services.
2. Joint accountability with Clinical HODs of assigned Clinical Departments in meeting business, financial and operational performance indicators of the division/ department. This would include, but not limited to, patient workload in various care settings, Financial Performance, SOC appointment lead time and surgical lead time (if applicable) and any relevant operational patient care outcomes.
3. Collaborate with Chair of Clinical Division and Heads of Clinical Departments on regular review of Clinical Department/ service line performance indicators (i.e. Balance Score Card, Financial Performance) and ensure optimum utilization of resources to improve efficiency and patient care outcomes through innovation and improvement.
4. Assist Director/Deputy Director/Assistant Director/ Senior Manager of Operations and assigned HOD of Clinical Departments on matters related to clinical service strategies and implementation plan.
5. Develop and execute business plan and marketing strategies to improve workload identified for growth to meet organizational and population needs.
6. Work closely with Clinical HODs and Operation HODs to raise the profile and image of the department and its doctors.
7. Work closely with stakeholders on the purchase of medical equipment/ equipment to support clinical services of the department.
8. Lead a team and provide supervision and guidance to the team reporting to you on aspects of clinical operational matters but not limited to project management, data management, budgetary planning, procurement, event management and logistics and other secretariat / administrative responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· Degree in any discipline
· At least 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in health-care related areas.
· Knowledge of hospital operations.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· A team player who can collaborate well and work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and able to manage projects independently
· Able to lead a team and build relationships with diverse group of stakeholders at all levels.
· Self-motivated and driven, enthusiatics about learning on the job and willing to go the extra mile to see things through.
· Methodical and precise, with strong skills in project management, time management, and numerical proficiency
(B) SPECIALISED TRAINING
· Knowledge of computer software.
· Knowledge of statistics.
