Responsibilities
- Support equipment development activities for new or enhanced semiconductor tools and subsystems
- Assist with tool characterization, engineering experiments, and data collection during development or early deployment phases
- Analyze equipment data to support capability assessments, design learning, and risk reduction
- Support documentation of equipment requirements, engineering changes, lessons learned, and development reports
- Participate in tool build, installation, upgrade, and qualification activities from a development perspective
- Collaborate with vendors, manufacturing, process engineering, and facilities teams under engineer supervision
- Prepare technical summaries and presentations for development reviews and project achievements
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and cleanroom requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical/Electronic, or Material Science with no less than 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in the same fields
- In-depth understanding of PVD or CVD equipment operation, working principles, fixing, and tool installation procedures
- Exposure to R&D dry etch equipment transfer and the ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design is preferred
- Exposure to PCVD pump/abatement/chiller selection and the ability to develop/optimize equipment hardware design is preferred
- Maintain and publish roadmaps to define work/CIP’s required to move toolsets from one EMI level to the next in preparation for transfer to HVM
- Remarkable oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to express messages clearly and effectively on a local and global scale
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously, efficiently applying available resources or seeking peers’ and/or management help to drive solutions
