Job Description

Phillip Nova is seeking an enthusiastic and client-focused Sales Dealerto strengthen client engagement and drive trading activity across global derivatives and equities markets. This role goes beyond precise trade execution, placing a strong emphasis on developing lasting client relationships, identifying trading opportunities, and delivering proactive market insights to support clients' trading strategies. The ideal candidate is a sharp executor with a sales-driven mindset, dedicated to growing trading volumes and contributing to overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute client orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring strict compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively engage clients with trading ideas, timely market insights, and product updates to stimulate trading activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients, understanding their trading strategies and needs.
  • Provide timely updates on order status, market developments, and key product information through various communication channels (email, phone, messaging platforms).
  • Monitor client portfolios and promptly escalate any risk concerns.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and share client feedback to support business growth and product development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Risk, Marketing, Product) to ensure a seamless and high-quality client experience.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and support for electronic trading platforms.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns, client education initiatives, and new client acquisition efforts.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in sales trading, dealing, or a client-facing role within financial markets.
  • CMFAS certifications (RES1A, RES2A, RES5, CM-EIP and CM-SIP) are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in global derivatives and equities markets.
  • A self-starter with a strong commercial mindset, focused on building client relationships and identifying trading opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support clients effectively.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment, including rotating shifts and on public holidays.
  • Meticulous and analytical, with a keen eye for trade monitoring and risk management.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with a continuous drive to improve processes and deliver value to both clients and the business.
