Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Lead the coordination of project developments and implementation of lighting strategies based on different project requirements.
- Oversee lighting projects ensuring timely execution, technical compliance, and quality control of products.
- Serve as the primary technical subject-matter expert for both lighting and automation systems.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and simplification methodologies in lighting solutions across projects.
- Engage with senior management and stakeholders, providing regular digital updates on project status, achievements, and challenges.
- Install and configure lighting control systems, software, and hardware components, documenting processes for maintenance and support.
- Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and cost control for lighting equipment and materials.
- Train and mentor junior team members on lighting technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and company policies.
- Willing to travel regionally for project coordination and implementation.
- Prepare quotations, cost analysis, and procurement strategies for lighting projects.
- Conduct Dialux simulations and prepare comprehensive project proposals, including technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Optimize and improve processes through digitalization and automation.
- Manage client relationships, addressing project concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of lighting products and conduct presentations to high-end clients.
- Identify and engage with new clients while maintaining relationships with existing clients to achieve revenue targets.
- Keep detailed, up-to-date records of all sales activities, including meetings, sales opportunities, projects, and forecasts.
- Submit weekly sales reports detailing progress and achievements.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: -
Education and Qualification Requirements
- Professional Certificate/ NiTec, Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, Product Design or related fields.
- 3 + years of relevant experience in lighting, building automation, or electrical solutions.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical, project management, or business development role within the lighting trade industry.
- Proven experience in managing lighting projects from inception to completion.
- Sales and project experience in the lighting/automation trade is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office,AutoCAD, CRM systems, and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of IT networks, building automation, and lighting control systems.
- Expertise in Dialux for lighting simulations and project proposals.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, cost optimization, and client relationship management in lighting projects.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Background in sales and marketing within the lighting industry.
- General Engineering background in Civil & Electrical is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business growth
- Class 3A Driving License
