We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist, IT Operations to join our dynamic team in the Centre of IT Services (CITS). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all IT needs for faculty, staff and researchers in the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), while ensuring compliance with CITS' IT policies. Key Responsibilities:
Run infrastructure/system operations in School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB)
Ensure that all program and department operations run seamlessly.
Manage the implementation of infrastructure changes and maintenance routines.
Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure replacement plans.
Maintain service level agreements and service improvements, and other areas
Maintain service-level objectives and targets, monitoring these objectives to ensure that requirements are met.
Maintain client satisfaction metrics and service procedures, constantly reviewing and analyzing these metrics to propose recommendations to improve performance and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT operations.
Proficient in providing end-user support for Windows-based desktops.
Experienced in administering Windows-based servers.
Skilled in troubleshooting PC hardware issues.
Familiar with network and cybersecurity concepts.
Possess good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Good oral and written communication skills.
