Job Responsibility
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
All custom-made jewellery jobs
Alterations and modifications to jewellery pieces
Master mould making
Your scope of work will also include, but is not limited to:
Design & Creation
Craft original jewellery pieces from sketches or design concepts using techniques such as hand-fabrication or casting.
Repair & Restoration
Repair broken clasps, resize rings, restore antique pieces, and replace or set gemstones with precision and care.
Stone Setting (Preferred)
Accurately and securely mount gemstones in jewellery — a detail-oriented task requiring fine craftsmanship.
Polishing & Cleaning
Ensure each piece is completed with a high-quality, polished finish that is free from smudges and imperfections.
Materials Handling & Knowledge
Demonstrate a solid understanding of various metals and gemstones, including their properties and correct application in jewellery making.
Technical Skills
Proficient in essential jewellery-making techniques, including soldering, welding, engraving, and other metalworking processes.
Attention to Detail & Patience
Work with small, delicate components requiring fine motor skills, strong hand-eye coordination, and a high level of patience.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in jewellery crafting, repair, and customisation
Strong technical knowledge and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
