Overview of the Job

GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and part of WPP. We are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Senior Performance Executive, Programmatic to join us. You will work closely with other teams within the GroupM family to drive programmatic planning, execution, analysis, and insights. We seek someone with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and flexibility to embrace changes and new challenges.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Director.

Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Handling platforms like Display & Video 360, Campaign Manager, The Trade Desk, Xandr, Google Analytics, etc.
  2. Understanding of Programmatic Buying, including DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting.
  3. Managing performance-driven clients to boost ecommerce sales.
  4. Managing workflow and responses to meet deadlines, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and 100% accuracy.
  5. Reviewing campaign briefs and generating programmatic media plans to meet client objectives.
  6. Setting up campaigns, troubleshooting tracking and discrepancies, and ensuring accurate activation following best practices.
  7. Monitoring campaign success via Google Analytics, DSP UIs, and automation dashboards.
  8. Managing campaign budgets, daily spends, and tracking performance against goals.
  9. Analyzing results to identify trends, insights, and providing recommendations to exceed client expectations.
  10. Demonstrating strong knowledge of the programmatic/performance campaign ecosystem.
  11. Understanding fundamentals of Brand Safety, Viewability, and Ad fraud.
  12. Executing various programmatic deal types.
  13. Collaborating with the line manager on market support and campaign management.
  14. Building effective relationships with team, market, and client teams to ensure seamless delivery across all campaign phases.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Understanding of client brands and products.
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms and systems.
  • Obtaining certifications on major programmatic platforms.
  • Building trust with team, clients, and market teams.

In six months:

  • Becoming a trusted advisor to clients and market teams.
  • Providing optimization suggestions to improve campaign performance.
  • Overseeing campaign optimizations and delivery.

In 12 months:

  • Expanding knowledge of online products and strategies.
  • Identifying gaps and improving processes/tools for campaign efficiency.
  • Establishing trust as a strategic advisor to clients.

Minimum qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in digital media, preferably in an agency or trading desk environment.
  • Hands-on experience with programmatic optimization.
  • Experience in campaign implementation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Understanding of Adserver, DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting, brand safety, viewability, ad fraud.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
