As a Project Engineer (Electrical) at APP Engineering Pte Ltd, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical systems for building construction projects across Singapore. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to safety, compliance, and engineering excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution and Site Planning
· Plan, schedule, and oversee on-site installation of electrical distribution systems, including ELV and security systems.
· Assist in preparing material BOQs, selecting equipment, and recommending installation methods.
· Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
· Work closely with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
· Attend coordination and progress meetings to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
· Supervise site activities including sub-contracted works and workforce deployment.
· Monitor site progress, resource allocation, and material usage to prevent wastage.
3. Regulatory & Safety Compliance
· Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations (e.g. EMA, SCDF).
· Conduct site safety inspections and implement corrective actions when risks are identified.
· Liaise with consultants and RE/RTOs for inspections, testing, and commissioning.
· Lead the testing and commissioning of systems to verify safety and functionality.
· Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation or commissioning.
5. Documentation & Reporting
· Prepare and manage project documentation including drawings, material records, inspection reports, and progress updates.
· Ensure proper documentation for authority submissions and project handover.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial or infrastructure projects.
Certifications:
· Valid safety certifications (e.g., BCSS, Bizsafe).
· Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge:
· Strong understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, ELV and security systems.
· Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority submission processes.
Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM is an advantage.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
