Responsibilities
- Manage the global procurement of IT security products, ensuring that hardware and software meet the company's specific needs.
- Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with global and China suppliers to secure the best deals, up-to-date product information, and reliable support.
- Request competitive quotes, negotiate pricing and procurement terms, and secure favorable conditions to maximize value for the company.
- Develop procurement strategies and plans based on company priorities, ensuring a steady supply of IT security products and maintaining reasonable stock levels.
- Conduct in-depth market research on global IT security products and trends to support procurement decisions and adapt strategies to industry developments.
- Oversee international logistics and customs clearance to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to Singapore.
- Continuously assess and refine procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, international trade regulations, and legal requirements.
- Work closely with the China team and ensuring procurement aligns with regional business needs, particularly in hardware integration and project-based activities.
- Primarily procure products for the China market, ensuring compliance with local restrictions and market requirements, with minimal focus on software products at this stage.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in procuring IT security products, with preference for candidates experienced in procuring products from major brands like Cisco, FireEye, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, and Fortinet.
- Familiarity with Singapore's local IT systems integrator market, along with relevant channels and resources.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with global suppliers.
- Demonstrated capability in handling international procurement matters, including China.
- Strong market research and analytical skills, with the ability to adjust procurement strategies based on market trends.
- Experienced team player skilled at meeting deadlines in a start-up, fast-paced and dynamic environments.
