Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CAD Drafter specializing in plumbing systems to join our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing plumbing drawings and schematics for residential, commercial, or industrial projects, working closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure designs meet all applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and prepare detailed plumbing drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
2. Create isometric and schematic diagrams of plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, venting, etc.).
3. Assist in the design and layout of piping systems based on engineer’s instructions and architectural plans.
4. Ensure designs are compliant with local building codes, plumbing codes, and other relevant regulations.
5. Revise and update CAD drawings per redlines and markups from engineers or architects.
6. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve conflicts in design.
7. Maintain organized records of drawing files and project documentation.
8. Support field personnel by providing as-built drawings and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information).
9. Participate in design review meetings when required.
10. Plan, coordinate, and ensure the quality and timely completion of engineering drawings.
11. Prepare detailed design and construction drawings for C&S works.
12. Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings in accordance with engineers’ requirements.
13. Work independently to meet tight deadlines and develop/maintain CAD drawings.
14. Create dimensional and non-dimensional drawings for layouts.
15. Revise drawings based on instructions/comments from designers, architects, and engineers.
16. Communicate effectively and collaborate closely with the design team on project assignments.
17. Manage document receipt, registration, filing, and distribution for the detailed engineering section.
18. Develop computer-generated drawings, isometrics, details, plans, schedules, and data sheets.
19. Perform other related duties as assigned.
20. Attend daily site coordination meetings and coordinate with subcontractors.
