Job Summary

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will serve in the leadership team, responsible for defining and executing the company’s technological vision, leading the development team, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge software solutions. The CTO will oversee all technical aspects of the company, including software development, IT infrastructure, and innovation initiatives, while aligning technology strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and drives innovation.
  • Product Development : Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software products, ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Team Management : Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of developers and IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Technology Roadmap : Define and maintain a technology roadmap, identifying emerging technologies and trends to keep the company competitive.
  • Technical Architecture : Ensure the company’s software architecture is robust, scalable, and secure, meeting industry standards and client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with the CEO and other executives to align technology initiatives with business priorities and client needs.
  • Innovation and R&D : Drive research and development efforts to explore new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance product offerings.
  • Budget Management : Oversee the technology budget, optimizing resource allocation for hardware, software, and personnel.
  • Compliance and Security : Ensure all software and IT systems comply with relevant regulations and maintain high standards of cybersecurity.
  • Vendor Management : Manage relationships with third-party vendors, technology partners, and service providers to support development goals.
  • Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for development projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Experience :
    10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar).
    Proven track record of leading complex software development projects from conception to delivery.
    Experience in SaaS, web apps, AI, cloud computing, preferred.
  • Technical Skills :
    Deep understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and modern programming languages/frameworks (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, .NET, etc.).
    Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and scalable architecture design.
    Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
  • Leadership Skills :
    Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate technical teams.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills to address complex technical and business challenges.
  • Adaptability : Ability to stay ahead of rapidly evolving technology trends and adapt to changing market demands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience scaling a software development organization in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Prior experience working with distributed teams or managing offshore development.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, or IoT.
