Job description

Our client is manufacturer of advanced technologies in the hi-tech industry. They are currently looking for a Director of Manufacturing (Regional) to join them and to value add their operations and scale their Industry 4.0 capabilities.

About the role:

  • Strategize and implement best manufacturing excellence practices (systems and processes; hardware, software, and analytics) across global factory network
  • Possess strong technical, leadership, and program management conduit between corporate operations, IT, and our global sites.
  • Improve productivity through continuous improvement programs.
  • Provide support for advanced manufacturing and technology transfer strategic initiatives. Provide business/operations/engineering data analytics and statistical analysis support to lean six sigma CI and advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes and systems of measure
  • Work on advanced manufacturing projects with engineering teams and with external suppliers.
  • Focus on acquiring cost-optimal automation solutions.
  • Working with IT and operations, both corporate and site-level, contribute to overall architectural design of various digitization platforms.
  • Working on scaling best manufacturing practices across the factory network including demand supply planning, capacity modelling, and yield methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • BS/MS in science/engineering
  • At least 8 to 15 years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Ideally with experienced in process engineering (unit process or integration), equipment engineering, and/or hardware/software automation engineering, demand-supply planning, or industrial engineering.
  • Strong exposure in lean six sigma/TOC continuous improvement programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with MDE, SCADA, MES, APC, and SPC systems.
  • Proficient in supply and demand planning methodologies.
  • Proficient in the use of tools for complex analysis.
  • Demonstrated track record to summarize complex data sets for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated track record to analyse and solve engineering issues
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and data visualization towards problem solving and influencing clear, objective, decision making.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed with demonstrated ability to work well with people; have strong inter-cultural intuition and able to disagree and commit.
  • Demonstrated track record of hands-on experience and ownership around manufacturing equipment and process modules.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Open to travel.
