Responsibilities:

  1. Hunting for new clients
  2. Contribute to achieving long-term strategic plans for expansion into key markets.
  3. Collaborate with Senior Management to develop selection criteria and key negotiation terms for technology licensing, joint ventures, or other collaboration methods.
  4. Identify areas of opportunity and focus for product and service recommendations.
  5. Identify potential new markets locally and abroad, and create a plan to enter these markets.
  6. Develop and utilize market knowledge to identify, develop, and support the Company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  7. Analyze customer research, current market trends, and conditions to inform strategic decisions.
  8. Research, build, develop, and enhance relationships with key business consultants, government entities, industry associations, and academic institutions to turn these into business opportunities.
  9. Collaborate closely with development/applications engineering to develop automation concepts that address customers' manufacturing challenges and achieve the company's profitability targets.
  10. Work with internal teams to develop cost models and provide timely responses to Requests for Quotations/Proposals.
  11. Lead marketing activities such as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and promotional materials, and provide feedback and information on market trends.
  12. Plan and prepare presentations and conduct information sessions and other events to enhance existing and new relationships.
  13. Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development
  • Knowledge of automation technology or equipment contract manufacturing
  • Pleasant and easy-going personality with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel regionally
