Job Summary:

The DevOps Transformation Lead will be responsible for leading the strategic transformation of our development and operational processes through the adoption of DevOps principles and practices. This role focuses on building a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and efficiency, driving the adoption of best practices and tools, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Transformation: Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps transformation strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Cultural Change: Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation across development and operations teams.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the software development lifecycle and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Best Practices: Champion the adoption of DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies, ensuring they are integrated into everyday processes.
  • Automation Initiatives: Lead initiatives to automate build, release, and deployment processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to teams to enhance their DevOps capabilities and knowledge.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure the successful implementation of DevOps initiatives.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, continuously seeking ways to improve DevOps practices.
  • Change Management: Manage the change process associated with DevOps transformations, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish metrics to measure the success of DevOps initiatives and identify areas for further improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: A Distinguished Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in IT, software development, or a related field, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices and tools, with a proven track record in leading transformation initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Ansible, Terraform), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change Management: Experience in managing large-scale transformation projects, with a focus on change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar are preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
