Job summary

AECOM Singapore Pte Ltd seeks an ecologist who codes to turn ecological theory and field data into models, tools and evidence guiding infrastructure decisions in Singapore and Asia-Pacific. The role builds quantitative and digital capability within the Singapore Biodiversity team.

You will model population dynamics, landscape ecology and ecosystem function, applying Python and R to produce reproducible outputs while supporting EIA, NbS design and natural capital accounting.

Qualifications

• Strong coding ability in Python and/or R, with data wrangling and spatial analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in ecology or related field plus portfolio of analytical work.
• Experience with machine learning and AI tools; field data collection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop species distribution and habitat models for EIA and NbS siting.
• Create reproducible analyses and maps in Python, R and GIS.
• Support field surveys and engage with clients and regulators.
