We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Packaging Supervisor to lead and oversee the packaging department within our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the packaging department, ensuring that all pharmaceutical products are packaged efficiently, meet regulatory and customer standards, and delivery schedule.

Responsibilities:
Packaging Operations: Oversee daily production, ensuring efficient scheduling, achieve cycle time, and quality standards. Lead the setup, operation, and cleaning of packaging lines, ensuring compliance with cGMP and Safety standards.
Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage the packaging team, providing training, mentoring, and professional development to ensure peak team performance. Conduct training for staff on packaging techniques and quality standards and GMP.
Compliance & Quality Control: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for Packaging processes. Ensure packaging materials, processes, and designs meet regulatory requirements and safety standards. Conduct inspections to maintain product quality and packaging integrity.
Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve packaging processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and drive cost savings. Monitor production schedules and inventory levels to meet operational goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain teams to align packaging strategies with product development and launch timelines.
Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, particularly for product mix up and high-sensitivity products, ensuring safe and effective packaging solutions.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations within the packaging department, ensuring a safe working environment. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate packaging records (batch production, materials used, deviations). Provide regular reports on packaging activities, performance, and issues to management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in packaging management within the pharmaceuticals or life sciences industries, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong familiarity with packaging equipment and materials, such as blister packing, bottle filling, and labelling, is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to set up, optimize, and scale packaging operations while building and leading high-performing teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical packaging regulations, including GMP, FDA, and other industry standards.
• Expertise in pharmaceutical packaging materials, processes, and technologies, including both primary and secondary packaging.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects effectively, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving packaging issues, as well as implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead teams, collaborate effectively, and communicate complex technical information to both internal teams and senior leadership.
