Job description

Key Criteria for Building PCM & TB Capability

The following criteria are essential for developing our PCM & TB capabilities across multiple markets in Asia Pacific & Middle East:

  1. Candidate should have extensive knowledge & experience (minimum 15 years) in Asia Pacific & ME to lead and drive market-leading products to differentiate across Corporate & FI business.
  2. Integrated knowledge of multiple channels and their integration with various product verticals (Payments, Collections, VAM, LM-Pobo, Robo, IHB).
  3. Thought leader capable of positioning the bank strongly in industry forums and regulator working groups to shape the future of the payments industry.
  4. Extensive exposure to European & US MNCs operating in the region to ensure product build meets global client requirements.
  5. Experience managing the product lifecycle end-to-end, from investment planning to commercial outcomes, beyond just technical knowledge.
  6. Ability to lead complex product solutions in RFPs and client whiteboarding sessions, positioning the bank as a thought leader.
  7. Deep technical knowledge & advisory experience working with technical teams of the bank and vendors.
  8. Regulatory & legal experience in rolling out products & services in Asia Pacific markets, especially Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia/NZ, besides New York/London.
  9. Ability to lead diverse, multi-location teams, providing support and guidance to build market-leading products & services through our multichannel model to manage operational risk.
  10. Extensive knowledge in leading partnerships with fintechs & banks in the region to provide comprehensive solutions in present & non-present markets.
  11. Experience in drafting & negotiating legal documents across multiple markets/jurisdictions to simplify client offerings and enhance ease of doing business with Barclays.
  12. Experience handling regulator and internal audits in multiple markets to position the bank as a well-managed business.
  13. Vision to lead product teams and position the bank ahead in AI & other industry disruptions like CBDC, blockchain technologies.
  14. Experience leveraging payment data to strengthen client and risk team relationships and to drive product growth.

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and maintain quality of third-party services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the product or portfolio.
  • Manage risks associated with the product or portfolio, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and costs.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competition, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.

  • Represent the function and business division as a spokesperson.
