Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FE packages such as ANSYS and NX
- Carry out basic naval architecture calculations, including hydrostatics and stability using tools like MAXSURF
- Guide and mentor junior engineers; review structural and mechanical component drawings and analysis reports
- Prepare and present clear, detailed technical reports and participate in technical discussions with clients and stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with internal fabrication teams, external customers, and classification or certification authorities
- Contribute to Bids , FEEDs , project design reviews , and specification development
- Interface with Classification Societies to obtain design approvals
- Support business development activities with technical expertise when required
- Strive for continuous improvement in engineering practices and documentation quality
- Ensure adherence to company policies, including those related to HSEQA , and align with the company's vision and mission
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Hydrodynamic / motion analysis using ORCAWAVE
- Mooring strength and fatigue analysis using ORCAFLEX and Ariane3Dynamic
- Mooring system design and offshore deployment knowledge
- Familiarity with MAXSURF , Rhino3D , ANSYS , NX , or equivalent software
- Proficiency in Orcina suite and Python scripting is a strong advantage
- Experience in designing deepwater mooring systems using polyester ropes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in shipyards, offshore wind, O&G, or engineering consultancy with focus on hydrodynamics and mooring system design
- Solid understanding of Classification Society rules for ships and offshore structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent analytical thinking and report-writing skills
