A leading organization is seeking a dedicated individual to support the Future Ready department in enhancing youth resilience through mentoring programmes. The role involves strategic management, programme development, and financial planning to ensure effective youth outreach and engagement. Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, a relevant degree, and experience in programme management.
The jobholder supports the Future Ready department in its efforts to help youth in postsecondary education become resilient and future-ready. The jobholder is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the department’s mentoring programmes and initiatives and supports the Youth Mentoring Office to achieve the outcomes of FA3.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over the weekends, weeknights and public holidays to support organisation events. Although the jobholder is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, he/she is also expected to travel where necessary for meetings and activities.
Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic and Partnership Management
Keep abreast of education and youth issues and trends in the community.
Work with schools and partners to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to youth outreach and engagement.
Support the department in representing the organisation in joint committees (such as M3@Town) and contribute to nationwide initiatives.
Support the department in identifying and networking with potential and existing community partners.
Assist in secretariat duties for M3 Focus Area 3 on Youth Mentoring and Empowerment, and training and development of mentors.
Programme Development and Management
Plan and implement the mentoring programmes for secondary and tertiary students.
Manage databases of mentors and mentees enrolled into the programmes.
Lead the organisation of resources, manpower and collaterals for the successful delivery of programmes.
Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes through the collection and analysis of feedback.
Conduct reviews of programmes and recommend areas for improvement or adaptation to suit the needs of youth.
Financial Planning and Management
Assist in the department’s forecasting and budgeting activities.
Implement plans to manage resource allocation to department programmes.
Monitor budget outcomes to ensure proper utilisation and accounting of resources.
Administrative Duties
Update and generate departmental progress reports for updates to management.
Others
Any other duties as assigned by the Manager and Head of Department.
Requirements
A degree in relevant fields is preferred
2 – 3 years of experience in programme management or youth engagement preferred. A Senior Executive Officer’s role can be considered for candidates with longer work experience
Good understanding of youth, education, and employment landscapes
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across different levels
