Account Management – Work Dynamics

What this job involves:

Putting safety protocols in place

That’s why we’re on the lookout for an effective HSE advisor who will help the account director in implementing and managing JLL Global HSSE management system within the account.

As the person in charge, you’ll see to it that local EHS laws and regulations are religiously followed in all our clients’ portfolios. You’ll make workplace safety a primary priority by conducting risk evaluation and putting protocols in place. You’ll also be on top of workplace incidents, managing each situation with sharp and analytical mind set.

You’ll also be the go-to person for all things related to workplace safety, first aid, fire safety, LOTO and emergency response. In this role, you’ll provide valuable insights and technical advice on mitigating risks. You’ll also organise and roll out effective communication plans for the account. Performing routine inspections, reviews and audits is part of your mandate, too.

Supporting our teams across sites in Singapore

As the person in charge, you’ll work closely with site teams to ensure that our safety measures and procedures are adhered to. Also, part of your scope is to build good working relationship with our clients and contractors. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with facilities managers in handling key external and internal stakeholders. You may be requiring to support our procurement team in selecting contractors and ensuring that these approved experts follow safety standards in place.

What this job involves

Performance

  • Implement JLL Work Dynamics HSE strategic objectives and bring them to life for the account, ensuring effective operational relevance.
  • Manage and reduce operational HSE risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on health and safety risk management at all levels.
  • Provide technical advice on relevant HSE issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client occupancy.
  • Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation.
  • Ensure facility related risk assessments are in place in line with legal requirements and Client HSSE Standards.
  • Manage account incident and accident investigations.
  • Organize, implement, and maintain an effective account HSSE communication plan.

Leadership

  • Foster a Culture of Safety across the account
  • Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, client, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Contribute to Work Dynamics HSSE programme as part of the global HSSE leadership team.
  • Ensure 3rd party vendors always maintain compliance with JLL and client HSSE Standards.

Standards

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of JLL Global HSE operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with HSE obligations and JLL’s HSE aspirations.
  • Identify and align JLL HSE practices to client HSE standards and requirements.
  • Drive the development of best practice HSE training programs and resources.
  • Implement HSE strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL’s contractors and supply chain vendors.
  • Oversee the successful management of assurance for the HSE program, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.

To apply you need to be / have:

The Candidate

Experience

  • A minimum 5 years HSE management experience and working with corporate clients.
  • Managing HSE for sites across Singapore with a strong understanding of the HSE regulatory requirement.
  • Registered WSHO and FSM.
  • Management system implementation, and auditing experience is a plus.
  • Practical experience of problem solving HSSE issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes.
  • Having practical working knowledge with real estate environment and government agencies is advantageous.
  • Able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.
  • A strong orientation to goals and measurable results.
  • Excellent communication skills to all levels of the account.

  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility with colleagues and to foster effective working relations with a wide range of internal, client and external contacts.

As the person in charge, you must have superior verbal and written communications skills to cover a wide range to client-engagement tasks such as meetings, presentations, and reports. These skills will also prove useful when working with multicultural teams.

Likewise, we want someone who can constantly deliver innovative solutions based on the clients’ business needs. A team player at heart, the ideal candidate must also strike a perfect balance between our clients’ demands and deadlines. Your expertise in drafting account safety policies and training materials will also be a big plus.
