Job description

[Job Background]

The Centre for Cross Economy (CCE), based at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, is a

leading research centre dedicated to pioneering Cross Economy—an innovative sustainability model that

transcends the Circular Economy. Unlike the Circular Economy, which focuses on maintaining materials

within the same production cycle, Cross Economy aims to multiply economic and environmental value by

converting waste into new, high-performance materials across different industries. This paradigm shift not

only addresses global sustainability challenges but also unlocks new opportunities for economic growth,

resource efficiency, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) innovation. With ongoing projects

in materials transformation, carbon utilization, digital ESG strategies, and sustainable innovation, CCE

collaborates with global partners to drive impactful research and technological advancements.

As CCE expands its research and project portfolio, the need has arisen for a dedicated professional to

systematically assist the center's researchers and ensure the smooth execution of its initiatives. The

Project Officer will play a key role in supporting research, coordination, and administrative functions at

CCE. This role is essential in maintaining organizational efficiency, facilitating collaboration, and

enhancing the impact of CCE's work on global sustainability.

[Responsibilities]

*Please note that the start date may be in December 2025 or January 2026, subject to final confirmation*

The Project Officer will assist in coordinating centre director's activities, managing project logistics,

supporting stakeholder engagement, and maintaining essential documentation to ensure the Centre for

Cross Economy (CCE) operates efficiently and effectively. This role presents an exciting opportunity to

contribute to a fast-growing research environment focused on tackling some of the world's most pressing

sustainability challenges.

As CCE expands, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to support research projects by

handling key operational and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Meeting and Schedule Coordination: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Event and Workshop Management: Arrange venues, logistics, and technical setup for internal/external events, video conferences, and workshops.
  • Travel and Itinerary Coordination: Organize travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and itineraries for project team members and stakeholders.
  • Visitor and Partner Support: Assist with logistics for visiting partners, consultants, and external collaborators, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Expense and Budget Administration: Process expense claims, track project budgets, and support financial documentation for audits.
  • Document and Version Management: Organize and maintain various documents (e-files and paper folders), including protocols, reports, and guidelines, ensuring up-to-date versions and seamless collaboration through structured shared folder management.
  • File Organization and Reporting: Establish a well-organized shared folder system for easy document classification, retrieval, and access while preparing reports, memos, and presentations as needed.
  • Digital Communication and Social Media Management: Maintain and update the research centre's social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Communication and Inquiry Handling: Screen phone calls, manage correspondence, and respond to inquiries on behalf of the project team as needed.
  • Mail and Documentation Management: Organize & distribute mail, track responses, & ensure follow-ups.
  • VIP and Special Event Coordination: Plan and manage arrangements for VIP visits, award ceremonies, and other key project-related events.
  • General Administrative Support: Perform additional administrative tasks as required to maintain efficient project operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Secretarial Studies, Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or a similar role.
  • Fluent in Korean to liaise with Korean speaking associates/partners.
