Job description

Oon & Bazul LLP is seeking a strategic and accomplished Head of Business Development & Marketing to drive the firm’s growth, market positioning and brand visibility. This senior role will be instrumental in elevating the firm’s profile, strengthening key client relationships and enhancing the visibility of the Managing Partner and the Partners of the firm. The ideal candidate will bring a strong command of brand strategy, legal sector positioning, and relationship-driven business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Profiling & Brand Management

  • Lead the firm’s positioning and thought leadership initiatives in line with the firm’s goals

  • Develop and execute branding initiatives to enhance visibility across relevant and targeted markets

  • Profile the firm’s capabilities and achievements across platforms (social media, awards, publications, and speaking engagements)

  • Shape and manage the brand of the Managing Partner and the other Partners to ensure consistent and impactful presence

Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee firm-wide marketing initiatives

  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels

  • Identify and manage public relations opportunities and engagements to maximize visibility

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Support Partners in identifying and pursuing new BD opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships

  • Support in the development of pitches, proposals and client targeting initiatives

  • Maintain and optimize CRM systems and track BD activity

  • Improve BDM processes and implement tools and systems to enhance efficiency, tracking, and outcomes

  • Lead client feedback initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and retention

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Advise leadership on branding, competitive positioning, and emerging market trends

  • Collaborate with Partners to tailor BDM initiatives to practice areas

  • Manage and mentor BDM team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Law, Business Administration or a related field

  • At least 8 years of experience in Business Development and Marketing, ideally within the legal or professional services industry

  • Proven track record of building brand presence and thought leadership, ideally including C-suite profiling

  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Proactive, resourceful, progressive and solutions-oriented mindset
