As a Senior Solution Architect in Wireless Network Infrastructure, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced mobile/wireless network solutions for our organization. Your extensive experience and expertise will be critical in driving innovation, ensuring architectural excellence, and delivering strategic initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Provide strategic direction and architectural leadership in the design, development, and implementation of mobile network infrastructure solutions. Define architectural principles, standards, and best practices to guide the evolution of our mobile network architecture.
Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to support pre-sales activities, including customer consultations, solution presentations, and proposal development. Leverage your technical expertise to understand customer requirements, identify business opportunities, and architect tailored mobile network solutions that address customer needs.
Solution Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex mobile network architectures, encompassing radio access networks (RAN), core networks, transport networks, and cloud-native network functions. Utilize your deep technical knowledge to design scalable, high-performance, and resilient network solutions.
Technology Evaluation and Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and vendor offerings in the mobile telecommunications space. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation through the adoption of new technologies, architectures, and deployment models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, product management, operations, and business development, to align technical solutions with business requirements. Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
Vendor Management and Partnerships: Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and suppliers to assess product offerings, negotiate contracts, and drive strategic partnerships. Influence vendor roadmaps and product development to meet the evolving needs of our mobile network infrastructure.
Standards Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security guidelines governing mobile network infrastructure. Stay informed about relevant standards bodies, such as 3GPP, ITU-T, and IEEE, and actively participate in standardization activities.
Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Lead capacity planning efforts to forecast network growth and ensure adequate resources are provisioned to meet demand. Implement performance optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and quality of service (QoS).
Wireless Network Expertise: Apply general wireless network knowledge to mobile network architecture design and optimization. Understand wireless communication principles, including modulation techniques, signal propagation, interference management, and spectrum utilization. Ensure seamless integration of mobile network infrastructure with existing wireless networks and technologies, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Technical Governance and Quality Assurance: Establish technical governance processes and frameworks to ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of mobile network infrastructure solutions. Conduct architectural reviews, code inspections, and quality assurance activities to uphold architectural standards and mitigate risks.
Ideal candidate should have/ possess:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in a technical leadership role within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on mobile network infrastructure.
Proven track record of designing and implementing mobile network architectures for large-scale deployments, preferably in 4G/5G environments.
Expertise in mobile network technologies, protocols, and standards, including LTE, 5G-NR, IMS, VoLTE, and NFV/SDN.
Strong proficiency in network design and modeling tools, such as MATLAB, OPNET, NS-3, or equivalent.
A team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong verbal communication (including presentation) and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to engage with senior management stakeholders, articulate technical vision and strategy, and influence decision-making processes effectively.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCIE, Nokia SRC, Huawei HCIE) and publications in industry journals or conferences are highly desirable.
