Qualifications

Job description

• Support the Contracts Manager in overseeing and guiding a team of project QS
• Assist in preparing cost budget, prepare cash flow for project, track changes in design/construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Assist in the extension of time and costs claims
• Work closely with the project team to ensure the timely award of subcontractors and suppliers
• Communicate with the technical team to ensure that quotations comply with specifications and the method of construction
• Produce quantity measurement within the targeted timeline
• Prepare and call quotations, including analyzing and evaluating for costing of tender; or negotiate and award of subcontracts for the project
• Review and prepare agreements for award to subcontractors and suppliers
• Certify and evaluate progress work done, including contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
• Assess and submit monthly progress claims, and recommend subcontractor’s monthly progress payment
• Finalise subcontract and main contract’s final account.
• Assist in project tendering.

Job Requirement :

• Degree/Diploma in Projects & Facilities Management or Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with A2 Building Contractors in GCB, MOE, HDB, Industrial and etc.
• Highly motivated, self-driven with an initiative to work independently and a good mentor to the QS team. Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong negotiation, and interpersonal skills and a team player
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD and the ability to learn new specialist software
